Hi,
Its that time of the year again when we have an opportunity to observe all
Messier objects in one night.
In this International Year of Astronomy, SPACE is organising a Messier
Marathon on the night of March 28th/29th from the pristine and dark skies
of Sariska National Park (27.39 N, 76.46E and Alt of 485 mts). The event
has been kept open to all interested people and and not just amatuer
astronomers. SPACE will provide for telescopes, star maps and finder
charts for the participants but you are more than welcome to carry your
own equipment. There will be many seasoned amatuer astronomers to guide
the beginners.
Space brings this opportunity to you in the form of a 2Day/1Night trip to
Sariska National Park, Rajasthan at price of Rs. 3200/- on 4 sharing basis
and also enjoys the exciting Jungle Safari & group activities.Transport
from New Delhi to the observing location and back is provided as well as
accommodation at the Tiger Den Tourist Resort for the two days.
If you have any queries, please feel free to call at +91-9250901041 or
mail at pooja@space-india. org
(Because we have to make travel and accommodation arrangements please
register by the 26th)
Hope to see you all there.
Thanks
